It's been awhile
Hi Kids,
Yeah it's been a while. I know, I'm sorry. Promised to write and didn't follow through...but I'm here now so, um, yeah- I can tell you a bit more.
WDWCP is now over for me of course...been over since January 10th. WDWCP was awesome, definetely one of those life experiences that if you have the opportunity to do you have to do it. I met some great people, made some wonderful friends out of it, and hey I'm staying at Disney so it can't be all that bad!!
So now I'm in my new job. Officially I'm a management intern, but to guests I'm just as good as a manager when they come to yell at someone!! I definetely miss the Lodge in some capacities, but I'm really liking the Yacht and Beach Club. The crowd here is a bit younger so I've got a good group of people to hang out with, and we're all in the same life stages and such. However, the lodge felt much more like a family than the Yacht and Beach, even though I really like everyone at my new "home." I'm currently in the process of learning what I can and can't do, can or can't say, and making that odd transition from front-line cast members to leader of front-line cast members. It's going to be fine in the long run, just a little hectic and scary from time to time!
So what else has happened? Of course, the week between the Lodge and Yacht/Beach was crazy but a lot of fun b/c I got to go see Josh in the great metropolis of Temple, Texas. The one good thing about dating the broadcaster for a team is that you get good seats for the games....the bad news is that in this case, the seats are right near the best zone to get nailed in the head by a puck. So yeah, that adds a bit of an adrenaline rush to the proceedings. Beyond that, I apologize to the entire Blackhawks team for ending their 18 game winning streak!! :o) Everyone reading this post should feel bad for Josh as I'm currently in relatively warm Orlando, Florida and he's in freezing cold North Dakota.
Part of the week was also spent down- or up rather- in North Carolina. This trip home was a bit spur of the moment, but I just needed to head home for a bit and see my puppy and my friends. It was definetely odd going back to Duke, but also very fun....just odd to think that I'm not a student there, just an alum. Weird. Duke's still a huge part of my life, I'm just not there anymore- and I'm definetely missing my basketball seats!!
Well that's about it for now. I'll update this from time to time if anything new or exciting occurs, and look for me to develop my actual website further in the near future.
